We’ve called this place home since the 1950s.
Our mission is to preserve the legacy of our homestead by sharing it with the community. We offer public workshops, private events and farm-fresh flowers and provisions. We invite you to come be a part of our family’s 75-year history at Windmill Ranch.

Volunteer at Windmill Ranch
Stay for just an hour, or a while! Help the local slow flower movement and learn a thing or two about growing flowers in the desert.
Tasks involve cutting flowers, arranging bouquets, seeding, weeding, watering, spreading compost and maybe some chicken wrangling for good measure!
Many hands make light work. We appreciate your willingness to help! Makes a great team or family activity.
A final nod to spring as we usher in summer with another great you-pick event! Stroll the garden and watch the flowers beds change from spring to summer blooms. That means LOTS and LOTS of sunflowers and the most happy flower of them all (in this flower farmer’s opinion) zinnias! Each guest picks their own mason jar of flowers to take home. All supplies included.
