Love & Grit Farm

Honeybee Home stumbled upon Love & Grit Farm in the midst of the Covid pandemic. The simple beauty of flowers was never more appealing than when the world seemed on its head. Katy bought her first bunch of tulips in the spring of 2019, and has been volunteering ever since.

Love & Grit Farm was founded in 2019, driven by a love of fresh food and the grit of the outdoors. Farmer Kristin is a Montgomery County native, having grown up in the Gaithersburg suburbs. Her love of growing and cooking has led her to the farm’s resting place in the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve on a quaint 8.5 acre farm nestled next to the Seneca Greenway trail system in Germantown, Maryland.

Love & Grit Farm couples regenerative agriculture practices and modern innovation to provide a natural bio-diverse offering of fresh vegetables & fruits, herbs, cut flowers, meat chickens and eggs.

Kristin is helped on the farm by her partner Shane, best friend Ryan, farm dog Maxwell, three children, and a slew of amazing local community volunteers.
